We would love to see and feature your incredible ideas! After gathering all the resources for the Articles of Faith, I wondered how I could put them all together and make use of them on a regular basis. I thought of a couple of different ways, and decided this was my favorite! This is what we do every night as a family, and not only have we learned them, but we have enjoyed the process! I hope you enjoy it as well: Step 1: Take 13 Popsicle sticks and write one number on each starting at one and ending at thirteen. Step 2: Take 13 more Popsicle sticks and write one of these on each one. 1 ~ Visual 2 ~ The Songs 3 ~ Que Cards 4 ~ Puzzles 5 ~ App 6 ~ Game 7 ~ File Folder Game 8 ~ Quotes 9 ~ Zack and Zoey 10 ~ Visuals + 11 ~ More Resources 12 ~ FHE Lessons 13 ~ Practice Next: I have 2 mason jars to hold each group of Popsicle sticks. Each night when it is time to do scriptures, right before we do an Article of Faith activity (Note: we are not perfect sometimes we count the Article of Faith activity as our scriptures for the night). We pull one stick from each jar. For example: If this is what we pull out, then we take out this: And we read it word for word. Now that my daughter is learning how to read we point to each word as we say it. We also have an extra jar to put the sticks we have already used: There! Now you have 13 activities to do, which almost equals 2 weeks, we have a different activity for the last day. We usually start the cycle on a Monday, so it will end on a Sunday, because the last thing we do is to repeat all the articles of faith in a row. This night usually takes a little longer, but it is a great way to keep reviewing them.
On the last night we either say them as a family, or most of the time we just have our daughter repeat them by herself so we can see if she is really learning them. Once the two weeks are over put the sticks back in the jar and do it again! Or for those of you who don't want to mess with sticks you can do all of the resources for the first article of faith, and just do one a night. Feel free to make your own system too! Tips For Each Resource - 1 ~ Use the visual while you repeat the Article of Faith. Point to each word as you say them 2 ~ Sing it a couple times in a row if you have time! 3 ~ Make sure you have a word to go with each letter! 4 ~ Puzzles are fun :) 5 ~ When we do the app we usually play the key word game, and then just say the Article of Faith we pulled out. 6 ~ There are different levels for how hard you want it to be. 7 ~ We usually play the game and just say the Article of Faith we pulled out. We always match the Article of Faith we pulled out first! Like if we pulled out 7, we would match it with its keyword first. 8 ~ Just do one quote a night, then discuss. 9 ~ Talk about it a little afterwards and ask them what they liked best. 10 ~ Have a place to keep it handy and ready to get everything out 11 ~ One resource every night 12 ~ Just pick one part of the FHE lesson to do a night, like the quote or the discussion 13 ~ Have everyone say it individually and then all together! Enjoy, and let me know if you find any other amazing ways to learn the Articles of Faith! True Light Academy.comI found a website that has 12 lessons that teach the articles of faith! Articles of faith 5 and 6 are in the same lesson. All the lessons have at least 2 stories or articles from The Friend that discusses the topics of the Articles of Faith!
The first step was to have some pretty visuals to look at. I decided to take it one step further to help learning the words in the Articles of Faith. What I did was print out a second copy and cut the words out individually. Starting out you can have them match word for word, and later on you can just give them the pieces and let them put it in order.
Don't forget to use the songs! They are a great way to learn the Articles of Faith, and help you remember all the words! As I was checking out the internet for more Article of Faith ideas I came across some cute little videos on youtube. They are of these two kids Zack and Zoey and they learn about the articles of faith. They are pretty cute, and all of them are less than 3 minutes long. You can buy them if you want to, or you can watch them on youtube. Here are some links:

Learning to listen to the prophets and apostles and then applying it to our lives is a great skill to have.
Quotes from Prophets and Apostles about the Articles of Faith I would recommend reading the quote and then asking your child what they think it means, or how it applies to them. If they are younger or need more help reread certain parts of the quote that might be easier for them to understand. Follow that with reciting the Article of Faith and then connecting it all together! There is an Articles of Faith File Folder Game that has to do with the "Key Words", which is a great way to reinforce which Article of Faith is which.
I found the game on sugardoodle.net, one of my favorite places to go and look for ideas! I found an Article of Faith game on lds.org called
